Saturday May 20th was the opening reception of “¿A dónde vas? ” an exhibition of image-based artworks exploring the life of youth people who lives in Tijuana and cross the border everyday to go to work or to study in San Diego. Their dreams and hard work is reflected on the exhibition that shows the life style that trans border people play every single day moving to one place to another the whole time, waking up since 4:00 A.M. and coming back home around 8:00 P.M. just to do the same the next day. Borderclick is a digital living archive exploring the complexities of the transfonterizx/transborder experience. From 2016-2017, a group of young people who live and study between Tijuana and San Diego used photography to deconstruct their daily aesthetic encounters and explore their identities aesthetic encounters and explore their identities on both sides of the border. This exhibition is the culmination of our conversations, documentation, research, and interviews with each other transborder people, as well as our dreams for the future.
